The invention discloses an ardealite masonry binder material and a preparation method thereof, and particularly relates to the field of gypsum materials, the ardealite masonry binder material comprises an ash material and water, the ash material comprises the following raw materials by weight: 300-500 parts of ardealite powder, 30-100 parts of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, 450-500 parts of a mixed filler, 10-15 parts of slaked lime, 4-8 parts of latex powder, and 7-8 parts of a high-molecular polymer; the mixed filler comprises mica powder and titanium dioxide, the ratio of the mica powder to the titanium dioxide is (3-4): (1-2), and the weight ratio of the ash material to the water is 1: (0.3-0.4). According to the phosphogypsum masonry binder disclosed by the invention, the viscosity and consistency of the binder are increased by utilizing the characteristics of thickening capacity, excellent film-forming property, dispersity and cohesiveness of the hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, so that the prepared phosphogypsum masonry binder has the advantages of strong binding power, fast coagulation, no shrinkage, construction time saving and the like; the adhesive is suitable for bonding construction of various gypsum boards, gypsum blocks, gypsum angular lines and the like.
