The invention relates to the technical field of rock wool boards, and provides a high-strength fireproof rock wool board and a preparation method thereof.The high-strength fireproof rock wool board sequentially comprises a fireproof layer and a heat preservation layer from top to bottom; the fireproof layer is prepared from the following raw material components in parts by mass: 70 to 80 parts of rock wool fiber, 20 to 30 parts of first modified waste ceramic powder, 5 to 12 parts of epoxy resin, 10 to 15 parts of flame retardant, 3 to 5 parts of water repellent and 1 to 3 parts of curing agent; the heat insulation layer is prepared from the following raw material components in parts by mass: 30 to 40 parts of rock wool fiber, 60 to 70 parts of second modified waste ceramic powder, 8 to 15 parts of epoxy resin and 2 to 4 parts of curing agent; the first modified waste ceramic powder and the second modified waste ceramic powder are both modified waste ceramic powder, and the modified waste ceramic powder is waste ceramic powder which is firstly modified by methyl dichlorophosphate and then modified by a hydroxy carboxylic acid compound. By means of the technical scheme, the problem that in the prior art, rock wool boards are low in strength is solved.
