The invention discloses an auxiliary device for building steel structure installation, which comprises an installation base frame, and the upper end of the installation base frame is fixedly connected with a base frame fixing plate and a traction assembly; a first connecting assembly is arranged at one end of the base frame fixing plate and located at the rear end of the mounting base frame. The fixing device is used for fixing one butted steel structure; a second connecting assembly is arranged at one end of the traction assembly and located at the front end of the mounting base frame. The steel structure is used for being fixed with another butted steel structure; the first connecting assembly and the second connecting assembly are the same in structure. According to the auxiliary device for building steel structure installation, through the structural matching design of the installation base frame, the base frame fixing plate, the traction assembly, the first connecting assembly and the second connecting assembly, the device can achieve connection, traction and fixation of two steel structures to be in butt joint, and therefore workers can operate at the connecting position of the steel structures conveniently; and the butt joint difficulty of the steel structures can be effectively reduced.
