The present disclosure provides a vehicle opening and closing member cable apparatus having integrated features for additional functionality. Vehicle opening and closing members are provided that include integrated features for increasing functionality of an opening and closing member (e.g., a tailgate). The bottle opener feature or article suspension feature may be integrated as part of a cable connector assembly that connects the opening and closing member to the vehicle body. Thus, the integrated feature is conveniently encapsulated on the vehicle for use during outdoor social parties when the opening and closing member is moved to the open position and when the vehicle is in a stationary, immobile condition.
