The invention discloses a lightweight high-strength aggregate, which is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 20 to 30 parts of cement, 65 to 75 parts of mineral admixture, 1 to 2 parts of thickening agent, 1 to 2 parts of fiber and 100 to 120 parts of water. The cement, the mineral admixture and the thickening agent are used as main raw materials, a thickening agent gelatinization process and a large forming water-solid ratio are combined, good light weight and high strength performance can be considered, and good working performance, mechanical performance and stability performance can be guaranteed when the cement is applied to preparation of lightweight aggregate concrete; the preparation method is simple, convenient to operate and suitable for popularization and application.
