The invention relates to a suspension device (2) for a door leaf (3) of a sliding door (1), comprising a suspension part (4) and a component part (5) which can be attached to the suspension part (4). The hanging part (4) is used for hanging the door leaf (3), so that the door leaf (3) can be movably placed on a running surface (44) of the hanging part (4) by means of a running seat (7) arranged on the door leaf (3). The component part (5) is used for holding the drive motor (61) and/or other parts. The suspension part (4) has a lower support element and an upper support element (47, 48), and the component part (5) has a hanging element (52) by means of which the component part (5) can be hung on the suspension part (4) in such a way that the hanging element (52) is supported downwards by the lower support element (47) in a first support point (S1) and upwards by the upper support element (48) in a second support point (S2), wherein the first support point (S1) is arranged at a distance between the second support point (S2) and the centre of gravity (SP) of the component part (5).
