The invention relates to a method for extracting and preparing nano iron oxide from high-iron solid waste, which comprises the following steps: soaking original high-iron solid waste in deionized water to remove soluble substances in the high-iron solid waste, and then washing with deionized water and drying; after the pretreated high-iron solid waste is subjected to hydrochloric acid stirring reaction, a micron-pore membrane is adopted for filtering, and filtrate is collected; dropwise adding an alkaline solvent into the filtrate under the stirring condition, and adjusting the pH value to 2-4; after the solid-liquid mixture is separated, the obtained precipitate is dried to obtain ferric oxide; and carrying out reduction treatment on the ferric oxide to obtain the ferroferric oxide. According to the method, the nano iron oxide with high purity, high specific surface area and high activity can be extracted and prepared from the high-iron solid waste, waste emission can be effectively reduced, reutilization and cyclic utilization of resources can be promoted, the utilization rate is high, byproducts can be recycled and converted, energy consumption can be remarkably reduced, the production cost can be reduced, and the method has remarkable economic benefits.
