The invention relates to the technical field of dampers, in particular to a tuned mass damper which comprises an upper connecting plate, a limiting rod, a mass block and a lower connecting plate and further comprises a displacement mechanism, a sliding block, a buffer spring, a damping mechanism, an inclined plate and a lifting mechanism. The damping mechanism is installed between the upper connecting plate and the mass block, when the upper connecting plate shakes, the sliding block moves in the displacement mechanism and extrudes the buffer spring, when the upper connecting plate shakes, the inclined plate is extruded through the damping mechanism, and when the inclined plate is extruded, the lifting mechanism is driven to lift the mass block. The upper connecting plate and the mass block are supported through the inclined rods moving in a hinged mode, the distance between the upper connecting plate and the mass block is adjusted when a bridge shakes, the connecting strength of the upper connecting plate and the mass block is improved, the damping effect of the device is improved, large-amplitude dislocation between the upper connecting plate and the mass block is avoided, and damage to the limiting rods is avoided.
