The invention discloses a steel structure embedded type column base and a construction method thereof. The steel structure embedded type column base comprises a base plate; the four steel ribs are vertically arranged, the four steel ribs are arranged at intervals in the circumferential direction of the base plate, the upper ends of the steel ribs are connected to the base plate, a gap allowing a beam rib to penetrate through is formed between every two adjacent steel ribs, each steel rib comprises a first rib plate and a second rib plate, and the first rib plate and the second rib plate are arranged in a crossed mode. The first bone plate is arranged in the circumferential direction of the base plate, the second bone plate is arranged towards the plane center of the base plate, and flange plates are formed on the two opposite sides of the first bone plate respectively. A plurality of the studs are mounted on the first bone plate and the flange plate. According to the invention, the problem that the existing built-in circular tube and the box-type embedded column foot cannot be mounted due to interference easily caused by penetration of a beam rib in the mounting process is solved.
