The invention discloses a solar building roof, and belongs to the technical field of solar buildings. A solar building roof comprises a mounting frame which is of a triangular structure, and the mounting frame can be matched with an original roof or replace the roof conveniently. The photovoltaic panel is mounted and fixed on the top surface of the mounting frame; the storage groove is formed in the middle of the mounting frame; and the protection mechanism is fixedly installed on the installation frame and comprises two winding rods rotationally connected with the storage groove, shielding cloth is fixedly connected to the two winding rods, the two ends of the winding rod located on the upper portion are connected with pull frames in a sliding fit mode, sealing plates are fixedly connected to the top faces of the two pull frames, and the sealing plates are in sealing fit with the storage groove. Through the design of the buffer piece, when hail impacts the shielding cloth, the winding rod abuts against the buffer block, and the buffer block transmits force to the buffer spring, so that the winding rod can be kept in the matching groove all the time, and the protection effect of the shielding cloth is guaranteed.
