The method comprises the following steps: acquiring new and old road paragraph information data; creating new and old road surface model transverse members according to the new and old road standard road breadth data; according to the obtained road section information, a mathematical relationship model of new and old road section cross member arrangement is created; according to the obtained road section information, a mathematical relationship model of step arrangement of new and old road section additional paving and additional paving boundary and additional paving and extension boundary is created; according to the line position relation and the widening type, a mathematical model of judgment point position arrangement and judgment point size valuing principles is created; and inputting starting and ending point stake numbers of any paragraph of the reconstruction and extension project, and automatically generating a corresponding pavement reconstruction and extension cross section. According to the method, arrangement scheme models constructed by various cross sections and mathematical models of new and old road boundary steps and judgment point arrangement positions are set, the reconstruction and extension pavement cross section is rapidly calculated and automatically generated, and the cross section of the whole reconstruction and extension project is rapidly generated.
