The invention discloses a carbon fiber heating element and a preparation method, and the preparation method comprises the steps: mixing phenolic resin, fiber powder and short carbon fibers according to a preset mass ratio to obtain a mixed dry material; injecting the mixed dry material into a mold for mold pressing to obtain a carbon fiber blank; and carrying out densification treatment on the carbon fiber blank body to obtain the carbon fiber heating body. The mixed dry material comprising the phenolic resin, the fiber powder and the short carbon fibers is subjected to compression molding and then densification treatment to obtain the carbon fiber heating body, and the structural strength and density uniformity of the carbon fiber heating body can be synergistically improved through cooperation of a compression molding method and subsequent densification treatment, so that the carbon fiber heating body is uniform in density and not prone to damage, and the service life of the carbon fiber heating body is prolonged. The heating effect of the carbon fiber heating body is improved, and the service life of the carbon fiber heating body is prolonged; moreover, compared with a vapor deposition method, the mold pressing method is simple and convenient in preparation, the production period is greatly shortened, and the preparation cost is saved.
