The invention discloses a lower gate mounting mechanism for a diversion tunnel gate in a limited space and a construction method. The lower gate mounting mechanism comprises a hoisting device located on the upper side of a dam body, a gate groove located in the bottom of the dam body, a guide plate mounted on the upper side of the gate groove, and adjusting rollers symmetrically arranged on the two sides of the guide plate; guiding devices are arranged on the lower side of the guiding plate in a bilateral symmetry mode, the guiding devices on the two sides are aligned with the left side groove body and the right side groove body of the gate groove correspondingly, and spiral threads are arranged on the surface of the adjusting roller. The gate is supported through the guide plates, the gate makes contact with the adjusting rollers corresponding to the guide plates, the spiral threads corresponding to the surfaces of the adjusting rollers have the one-way driving effect, the contact side of the gate moves in the driving direction and turns over along the side, and therefore the vertical direction of the gate is adjusted to be the horizontal direction. When the adjusting rollers on the two sides rotate in opposite directions, the left-right height difference of the gate can be adjusted, and the corresponding upper and lower sides of the gate are in a horizontal state.
