The invention relates to a soft soil foundation construction method which comprises a column hammer, the column hammer comprises a column sleeve and an inner pipe, the inner pipe is detachably connected to the column sleeve, the column sleeve is provided with a sliding groove, the inner pipe slides in the sliding groove, and the sliding direction of the inner pipe is the extending direction of the sliding groove; the method further comprises the following steps that the column hammer freely falls in the vertical direction for many times, so that a hole is formed in the foundation through the column hammer, then after the column hammer is embedded into the foundation, the inner pipe is separated from the column sleeve, the sliding groove is filled with filler, after the inner pipe is moved upwards, the inner pipe falls in the direction close to the groove bottom of the sliding groove, and the filler is tamped; and the operation is repeated until the sliding groove is filled. The sediment amount at the bottom of the hole and the situation that soil falls off from the side wall of the hole are reduced, the situation that sediment appears in the column sleeve is reduced, and therefore the influence of the sediment on the stability of a foundation is reduced, and the stability of the foundation is improved.
