The invention discloses an automatic laying device for a planar resistance reducing material of a grounding grid of a transformer substation. The device relates to the field of lightning protection grounding construction of power systems and comprises a movable saddle, an adjusting table, a bucket mechanism and a feeding frame, a horizontally-arranged supporting frame is fixedly installed at the top of the movable saddle, a top protruding shaft of the adjusting table is rotatably installed on the inner wall of the top of the supporting frame, and a transmission belt is rotatably installed on the outer wall of the adjusting table; the excavator bucket mechanisms are distributed on the transmission belt at equal intervals, each excavator bucket mechanism comprises a bucket shell, lining plates which are symmetrically distributed are installed on the inner wall of each bucket shell in a sliding mode, and the end portions of the lining plates are fixedly connected with clamping teeth used for clamping a grounding network cable. The technical problem that the efficiency of burying the grounding material of the transformer substation into the ground is low in the prior art is solved.
