The invention discloses an optimal selection method of a grouting material for advanced grouting of a coal seam roof, which specifically comprises the following steps: step 1, determining an optimal selection index of cement clay slurry by taking the grouting material as a mixture of cement, clay and water; 2, the slurry filling capacity is evaluated according to the slurry stone rate; 3, evaluating the diffusivity of the slurry according to the initial setting time and viscosity of the slurry; step 4, evaluating the water blocking capability of the slurry stone body according to the impermeability grade of the slurry stone body; 5, evaluating the mining-induced damage resistance of the slurry stone body according to the ratio of the elasticity modulus to the tensile strength of the slurry stone body; and 6, selecting the final ratio of the cement clay slurry according to the steps 2-5. According to the method, the grouting material proportion suitable for the advanced grouting treatment characteristics of the roof area can be optimized, so that the advanced grouting treatment layer of the roof area is not damaged by recovery, and the failure of grouting treatment is avoided. The invention further discloses a grouting material for advanced grouting of the coal seam roof.
