The invention provides a self-moving track for roadway transportation, the self-moving track comprises a front-end track and a main track, the front-end track is arranged at the front end of the main track, the main track is formed by hinging a plurality of single-section tracks, a slide way is arranged on the front-end track, and a moving device which can be inserted into the slide way and can move up and down is arranged on the moving device. The front end rail and the main body rail are provided with driving racks which are matched with driving wheels of the mobile equipment. According to the rail, the hinges are arranged between the sections, so that the rail has good bottom surface adaptive capacity; the structure is simple and cost is low; the device is matched with mobile equipment and has a self-walking function. The invention further provides a working method based on the self-moving rail for roadway transportation.
