The invention discloses a temporary supporting structure for a large-span rigid frame bridge and a construction method of the temporary supporting structure. The temporary supporting structure comprises a first bracket, a supporting piece and a connecting piece, wherein the first bracket is arranged between two adjacent thin-wall piers and is used for assisting in supporting a bridge floor; the supporting piece is detachably connected to the bottom of each thin-wall pier and is used for erecting the first bracket; the connecting piece is used for connecting the first bracket to the thin-wall piers; the first bracket comprises two first vertical rods, the two first vertical rods abut against the opposite inner sides of the two adjacent thin-wall piers respectively, and the bottom ends of the two first vertical rods are erected to the corresponding supporting pieces respectively. The first transverse rod is connected to the top ends of the two first vertical rods, and the two ends of the first transverse rod abut against the opposite inner sides of the two adjacent thin-wall piers correspondingly; and the first ends of each pair of first inclined struts are connected to the first cross beam, the second ends of each pair of first inclined struts are connected to the two first vertical rods correspondingly, and the construction efficiency is improved by arranging the temporary supporting structure.
