The invention discloses a process method for preparing cement and a fireproof coating by utilizing brucite ore powder and monopotassium phosphate. Natural brucite ore is pretreated by different processes so as to completely replace dead burned magnesium oxide prepared by high-temperature calcination to prepare potassium magnesium phosphate cement. The brucite powder treated by different processes is introduced in the preparation process of the magnesium phosphate cement, so that the binding power of the magnesium phosphate cement is increased, the coagulation and hardening processes of the magnesium phosphate cement are promoted, and a uniform colloid is formed in a magnesium phosphate cement system to improve the shock resistance and durability of the magnesium phosphate cement. The magnesium potassium phosphate cement provided by the invention not only meets the requirements of related technical indexes, but also has the characteristics of low cost, good adhesive property and better mechanical property, is low-carbon, environment-friendly and pollution-free, and also has the advantage of optimizing the hydration heat release temperature and the setting time of the magnesium potassium phosphate cement.
