A light control sheet (10) is provided with a first transparent electrode layer (31), a second transparent electrode layer (32), and a light control layer (20) containing a liquid crystal composition that is a chiral nematic liquid crystal having positive dielectric anisotropy. The processing performed by the control unit of the dimming device includes: controlling the transparent electrode interlayer to a first voltage, thereby bringing the dimming sheet into a first state in which infrared light is reflected and visible light is transmitted; controlling the transparent electrode interlayer to a second voltage, thereby bringing the dimming sheet into a second state in which the infrared light and the visible light are scattered; and controlling the voltage between the transparent electrode layers to a third voltage, thereby bringing the dimming sheet into a third state in which the infrared light and the visible light are transmitted.
