The invention discloses a construction method for a steel-concrete composite beam of a basket arch bridge, which belongs to the technical field of arch bridge construction and comprises the following steps: firstly, assembling steel beam sections on site, and during placement, the length direction of the steel beam sections is along the longitudinal direction of the bridge; transporting the steel beam sections from the site to a bridge by adopting a single cable crane; the steel beam sections are lowered to a transport ship through a basket arch midspan side gap, the transport ship turns around to the position where the steel beams are to be erected, and the installation direction of the steel beam sections is adjusted; then, two cable cranes are adopted to be connected with the two lifting points on the steel beam section correspondingly, and double-crane lifting installation is conducted after the installation angle is adjusted; construction of the steel beam sections is completed, and installation of the bridge deck is completed through a crane. According to the construction method, the steel beam sections are transported into the bridge from the site through the single cable crane, a transport ship does not need to transport water from the land, and therefore the problem that when water transport cannot be conducted on a steel beam machining field of the small-span basket arch bridge, steel beam hoisting is difficult is solved.
