The steel support structure comprises a steel support body and an axial force adjusting device, the axial force adjusting device comprises an outer shell and an inner shell, one end of the outer shell is connected to an outer ring of a bearing, the inner shell is coaxially arranged in the outer shell, one end of the inner shell is connected to an inner ring of the bearing, and the other end of the inner shell is coaxially arranged in the inner ring of the bearing. A hydraulic cylinder is arranged in the inner shell, an ejector rod is arranged at one end of the hydraulic cylinder, external threads are arranged on the periphery of the ejector rod, a locking mechanism is arranged on the inner wall of the outer shell, the locking mechanism is provided with internal threads matched with the external threads of the ejector rod, and when the hydraulic cylinder cannot drive the ejector rod to extend, the outer shell is rotated to drive the locking mechanism to rotate around the ejector rod. And the locking mechanism not only plays a locking role, but also is used as a driving mechanism capable of driving the ejector rod to do linear motion, so that the axial force can be conveniently adjusted in time when the device breaks down, and potential safety hazards are eliminated.
