The invention relates to chromium-free low-silicon stuffing sand which comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 97-99% of brown fused alumina or bauxite with the particle size of 1-0.1 mm; 1-3% of one or more of a sintering agent, albite, potassium feldspar or silica powder, and the particle size is 200-320 meshes. According to the chromium-free low-silicon ladle filler sand, SiO2 in the components is less than or equal to 10%, so that the influence of the ladle filler sand on the purity of molten steel can be reduced; and moreover, the stuffing sand is chromate-free, so that the pollution to the environment is reduced.
