The invention provides a grass yarn composition and a preparation method and application of artificial grass yarns, and the grass yarn composition comprises the following components in percentage by mass: 79-99% of olefin polymer, 0.001-3% of silicone rubber or silicone rubber master batch and 0.01-20% of additive master batch, the silicone rubber comprises one or more of methyl silicone rubber, dimethyl silicone rubber, methyl phenyl silicone rubber and methyl vinyl silicone rubber. On one hand, the silicone rubber is introduced into the artificial grass, so that the melt stability of the artificial grass is greatly improved; on the other hand, the grass yarn composition designed by the invention is used for preparing the artificial grass yarn, so that the processing efficiency is improved, the cost of the artificial grass yarn fiber is reduced, and reliable power is provided for healthy development of the artificial turf industry.
