The invention relates to a water supply system, a method for preventing freezing or icing and an aircraft. A water supply system (12) for use in an aircraft (10) and a method for preventing obstruction in a water supply system (12) in an aircraft (10) are described. The system (12) comprises: a central tank (14) comprising a fluid inlet (16) and a fluid outlet (20); a supply duct (24) for allowing fluid to flow from the outlet (20) of the central tank (14) to the user equipment (26) wherein at least a section of the supply duct (24) is connected and thermally coupled to the aircraft air conduit (32) so as to enable heat energy to be transferred from the aircraft air conduit to the supply duct (24), the temperature of the water in the supply conduit (24) is kept above the freezing point temperature of the water.
