The invention discloses a preparation method of a slow-release six-carbon polycarboxylic acid water reducer, which comprises the following steps: mixing sodium pyrosulfite, formaldehyde and water according to a specific ratio, heating and stirring to obtain an efficient reducing agent; and then, synthesizing the special auxiliary agent by using vinyl benzenesulfonic acid and divinyl benzene under specific conditions. Then mixing acrylic acid, hydroxyethyl acrylate and hydroxypropyl acrylate according to a certain proportion to form a functional small monomer, and combining the functional small monomer with a chain transfer agent and an efficient reducing agent to form a material A and a material B; and finally, adding a specific six-carbon monomer, a neutralizing agent, an oxidizing agent and a catalyst in the polymerization reaction, and finishing the synthesis of the water reducing agent by controlling the dripping speed of the material A and the material B.
