The invention discloses a suspension type step-by-step wave dissipation system which comprises two bases distributed in an up-down spaced mode. A through hole is formed in the lower base, and the lower base is connected with the river bottom through a rope; the first-stage wave dissipation mechanism is mounted on the front sides of the two bases, and a plurality of first through holes are formed in the first-stage wave dissipation mechanism; the front side face of the first-stage wave dissipation mechanism faces the wave facing face. The second-stage wave dissipation mechanism is installed between the two bases and located behind the first-stage wave dissipation mechanism, and the second-stage wave dissipation mechanism comprises a plurality of wave dissipation rotors installed between the two bases; the buffering mechanism is installed between the two bases and located behind the second-stage wave dissipation mechanism, the buffering mechanism comprises a plurality of wave distribution plates which are arranged in a crossed mode, and each wave distribution plate is provided with a second through hole; and the floating body is arranged on the top surface of the upper base. By the adoption of the step-by-step wave dissipation system, the wave dissipation effect can be improved, the buffering effect is achieved, the step-by-step wave dissipation system can move up and down along with the water surface, the structure is simple, cost is low, and practicability is high.
