The mud depth measuring device comprises a crawling ladder and a measuring assembly, wherein the crawling ladder is arranged in a mud cabin; the measuring assembly comprises an indicating vertical rod and a plurality of indicating pieces, the indicating vertical rod is connected to one side of the crawling ladder and extends in the depth direction of the mud cabin, the indicating pieces are arranged on the indicating vertical rod at intervals in the length direction of the indicating vertical rod, and each indicating piece is provided with a hollow part used for indicating the current mud depth. The mud depth measuring device is simple in structure and convenient to operate, the mud depth can be rapidly read, mud can be supplemented into a mud cabin in time when the mud depth is smaller than a preset depth range, and universality is high; due to the fact that the hollowed-out part is arranged on the indicating piece to indicate the current mud depth, namely the hollowed-out part is used as an indicating line, the indicating piece cannot be rubbed off by mud in a mud cabin during measurement, and the accuracy of a measurement result is guaranteed.
