In a roof window (1), each window frame member (32) comprises a profile element (32a), an inner element (32c) and an intermediate element (32b) forming a connection between the profile element and the inner element of each window frame member. The inner element (32c) of the window frame member (32) forms a coherent inner element window frame structure that supports an inner edge portion of the pane (4), and the profile element (32a) of the window frame member (32) is positioned along a respective outer edge portion of the pane (4). The intermediate element (32b) of each window frame member (32) comprises an engagement means (32b3) configured to form a structural connection with the inner element (32c) in one of at least two different positions in the height direction.
