The invention relates to the technical field of sponge city roads, in particular to a rainwater collecting device for sponge city roads and a collecting method thereof.The rainwater collecting device comprises a sidewalk, two sets of drainage channels and two sets of collecting systems, the two sets of drainage channels and the two sets of collecting systems are oppositely arranged, and the collecting systems are located below the drainage channels; the sidewalk is positioned between the two groups of drainage channels; the sidewalk comprises a curbstone, a vertical plate, a supporting plate, a first drainage pipe, a positioning bolt, a drainage mechanism, a water permeable brick, a sand layer, screen cloth, a cement layer and a gravel layer. Through cooperative use of the two sets of collection and treatment systems, rainwater on the sidewalk road of the sponge city can be efficiently collected, and the rainwater is precipitated and filtered for multiple times so as to obtain clean rainwater, and cyclic utilization of the rainwater is achieved; through cooperative use of activated carbon adsorption particles in the filter box and activated carbon particles in the movable box, the rainwater collection device for the sponge urban road can complete operations such as filtration and odor removal while collecting rainwater.
