The invention discloses a steel structure curved surface skylight frame and a construction method thereof. The curved surface skylight frame is of a truss structure composed of a curved surface skylight top and box type section stand columns (1) installed and welded to the lower portion of the curved surface skylight top. The curved skylight top is composed of a net-shaped structure and an annular edge sealing beam (3), wherein the net-shaped structure is formed by installing and welding a plurality of trapezoidal-section rod pieces through a plurality of nodes (2), and the annular edge sealing beam (3) is installed and welded to the periphery of the curved skylight top. The trapezoidal cross-section rod piece comprises a main chord member (4), a thickened node (5) and a secondary chord member (6); the cross sections of the two ends of the main chord member (4) are trapezoidal; the construction method comprises the following steps: installing and welding semi-finished trapezoidal cross-section rod pieces, butting and installing and welding the main chord members and the thickened nodes, integrally pre-splicing, and sequentially installing the secondary chord members, the annular edge sealing beams and the box-type cross-section upright posts according to a ground sample coordinate control network. The manufacturing method is simple, the construction precision is high, lighting and ornamental value are achieved, butt joint and welding deformation is effectively controlled through sequential tailor welding, and the construction quality and the construction efficiency are improved.
