The innovative rammed earth decorative surface layer material comprises the following components in parts by mass: 40-50 parts of clay, 50-60 parts of sand, 3-10 parts of modified polyvinyl alcohol fibers, 2-4 parts of phenyl vinyl silicone resin, 0.5-5 parts of an inorganic expanding agent and 60-80 parts of water, the modified polyvinyl alcohol fiber is prepared from polyvinyl alcohol fiber, glycidyl methacrylate and methacryloyloxyethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride through a reaction. The innovative rammed earth decorative surface layer material prepared from the components and contents provided by the invention has relatively high 28d compressive strength and 28d bending strength, relatively low 28d static elastic modulus and good cracking resistance.
