The invention relates to the technical field of decoration materials, in particular to an environment-friendly diatom ooze wall building material and a construction method thereof.The construction method includes the steps that diatomite is taken out and put into a container, and water is poured into the container to be mixed with the diatomite to be made into paste; continuously stirring the pasty diatom, then sequentially adding the quartz sand, the bentonite and the inorganic gel powder, and stirring until the materials are completely mixed; the PH value is measured for the first time, whether the formaldehyde concentration is qualified or not is judged, then a worker observes whether the diatom ooze has blocks or particles or not and whether the color is uniform or not, and if not, stirring continues till complete mixing is achieved; adding a film-forming agent, a toughening agent and a dispersing agent, mixing, and standing for half an hour, so that various assistants play roles and are completely absorbed; then adding pigment and mixing to obtain diatom ooze; the PH value is measured for the second time, the diatom ooze forms a film through the film-forming agent, meanwhile, the toughness is improved through the flexibilizer, the quality is guaranteed, coating by workers is facilitated, and using is more convenient.
