The invention relates to the field of bridge construction, in particular to a bridge cylindrical pier quick-release formwork and a construction method thereof.The bridge cylindrical pier quick-release formwork comprises two splicing modules and a connecting module connected between the two splicing modules, and the splicing modules and the connecting module are concyclic in the circumferential direction; hinge assemblies are installed between the splicing modules and the connecting modules which are adjacent in the circumferential direction, and the ends, away from the connecting modules, of the two splicing modules are detachably connected. Sealing grooves are formed in the end walls, opposite to each other, of the splicing modules and the connecting modules, sealing plates are arranged in the sealing grooves in the same side in the circumferential direction in a sliding mode, and the sealing plates are used for sealing gaps between the splicing modules and the connecting modules and used for sealing gaps between the two splicing modules. The defect that the appearance quality of concrete is poor due to formwork dislocation and slurry leakage is overcome, and the single formwork is small in weight, small in occupied space and convenient to transport.
