The invention discloses multi-source solid waste-based foam light soil as well as a preparation method and application thereof, and belongs to the technical field of roadbed engineering. The building material is prepared from the following components in parts by mass: 14 to 22 parts of a first admixture, 1 to 11 parts of red mud, 2 to 11 parts of gypsum, 1 to 17 parts of a second admixture, 0.1 to 0.5 part of fibers, 0.05 to 0.3 part of nanofibers, 5 to 20 parts of steel slag powder, 0.1 to 3 parts of an expanding agent, 20 to 46 parts of blast furnace slag, 8 to 23 parts of metakaolin, 0.05 to 0.2 part of a foam stabilizer, 3 to 6 parts of a foaming agent and 20 to 31 parts of water, the first admixture is selected from at least one of silty soil, saw mud or recycled powder; the second admixture is selected from at least one of fly ash or decarburized coal gangue powder. The foam light soil is high in bearing capacity, good in durability, high in shrinkage resistance, good in water stability and low in cost, is used as roadbed filler, and reduces vertical pressure on soft foundations on the basis of meeting roadbed performance requirements.
