The invention relates to a thermal insulation wall and a construction method thereof.The thermal insulation wall comprises a wall body and constructional columns, the two constructional columns are arranged on the wall body, and the constructional columns are fixedly connected with the wall body; the wall body comprises a first wall body, and a mortar leveling layer, an anti-crack protective layer and a waterproof layer which are arranged on the outer side of the first wall body; the mortar leveling layer, the anti-crack protective layer and the waterproof layer are sequentially arranged in the direction away from the first wall body; the first wall body comprises a plurality of first building blocks and filling bodies; the first building blocks are hollow concrete bricks, each first building block is provided with two containing cavities, the first building blocks are staggered to form a main body structure of the first wall body, and the containing cavities of the first building blocks on the upper layer and the lower layer communicate with each other; the filling body is composed of a plurality of ceramsite, and the containing cavity is filled with the ceramsite to form the filling body. Through cooperation of the first building blocks and the filling bodies, the heat transfer effect of the thermal insulation wall can be remarkably reduced, so that the thermal insulation performance of the thermal insulation wall is improved, and the service life of the thermal insulation wall is prolonged.
