The invention discloses a self-standing steel chimney which comprises a bearing assembly and a grafting assembly. The bearing assembly comprises a bottom bearing pipe and a first connecting pipe, the first connecting pipe is fixed to one end of the bottom bearing pipe, the outer side of the first connecting pipe is provided with a plurality of first vertical teeth, the first vertical teeth are arranged in the circumferential direction of the first connecting pipe at equal intervals, and the ends, away from the bottom bearing pipe, of the first vertical teeth are provided with first lower inclined faces; the grafting assembly comprises a grafting pipe, an annular groove is formed in the inner side of one end of the grafting pipe, a plurality of second vertical teeth are arranged in the annular groove and arranged at equal intervals in the circumferential direction of the inner wall of the annular groove, and a second lower inclined face is arranged at the end, facing the end opening of the grafting pipe, of each second vertical tooth. The end opening of the grafting pipe is provided with a chamfer, a stable steel chimney can be efficiently built, and the steel chimney with the needed height can be erected according to the construction requirement.
