The invention relates to a construction method of a tall and large cornice aluminum plate curtain wall. The construction method comprises the steps of (1) preliminarily installing the framework, (2) installing the hanging basket assembly, (3) assembling the aluminum gusset plate assembly on the ground, (4) installing the aluminum gusset plate assembly below the cornice, and (5) installing the corresponding aluminum gusset plate assembly on the top of the framework after the hanging basket assembly is dismantled. The construction method does not depend on a scaffold, the construction cost is reduced, and the construction period is shortened. The construction method depends on two lifting points formed by a steel wire rope B and a steel wire rope C on an aluminum gusset plate assembly, so that the rear end of the aluminum gusset plate assembly tilts towards a self-control lifting hanging basket, and constructors on the self-control lifting hanging basket are facilitated to lift the rear end of the aluminum gusset plate assembly; a constructor on the self-control lifting hanging basket operates the rear end of the aluminum gusset plate assembly, so that the rear end of the aluminum gusset plate assembly abuts against an embedded plate of the outer wall of the building; the steel wire rope B and the steel wire rope C are matched with each other, so that the aluminum gusset plate assembly is buckled on the framework from bottom to top, and constructors can conveniently construct.
