The invention relates to the technical field of water quality purification and manufacturing of daily necessities, and discloses a daily pottery for purifying water quality and releasing trace elements and a method thereof, the pottery comprises palygorskite and purple sand materials which are mixed according to a specific proportion, and water body purification and controllable release of trace elements are realized through an internal microporous structure; through reasonable proportioning of palygorskite and purple sand materials and application of a multi-stage composite filtering system, the ceramic provided by the invention can effectively remove harmful substances, including organic pollutants, heavy metal ions and the like, in water, so that the safety of water quality is ensured. The three-dimensional microporous structure is adopted, so that the ceramic can promote permeation of water molecules and uniform release of trace elements while increasing the contact area of water and materials, and drinking water rich in beneficial elements is provided for a user.
