The invention discloses a bridge pier anti-collision buffering protection system which comprises an early warning monitoring device and an energy absorption buffering device fixedly arranged on the periphery of a bridge pier in a sleeving mode, the energy absorption buffering device comprises a fixing column hoop fixedly arranged on the periphery of the bridge pier in a sleeving mode, an energy release buffering layer and a contact surface layer, and the energy release buffering layer is coaxially arranged on the periphery of the fixing column hoop in a surrounding mode. At least one rolling assembly is arranged between the energy release buffer layer and the fixing column hoop so that the energy release buffer layer can rotate around the fixing column hoop through the rolling assemblies. The outer surface of the energy release buffer layer is coated and sleeved with the contact surface layer; the early warning monitoring device comprises a primary detection unit used for monitoring the state change of the energy release buffer layer, a secondary monitoring unit used for monitoring the state change of the pier, and a primary warning unit used for giving out a warning prompt based on the state change monitored by the primary detection unit. And the second-stage warning unit is used for giving out a safety prompt based on the state change monitored by the second-stage monitoring unit.
