Carbon fibers, ceramic matrix composites, and methods and apparatus for making same
The present disclosure relates to carbon fibers, ceramic matrix composites, and methods and apparatus of manufacture. A method of manufacturing a multi-layer nanoparticle coated fibrous material using a layer-by-layer nanoparticle deposition system is provided. A first coating layer is manufactured that includes coating a fibrous substrate with nanoparticles of a first type to provide a plurality of layers of nanoparticle-coated fibrous material. The manufacturing further includes coating the first coating layer with nanoparticles of a second type to provide a second coating layer of a multi-layer nanoparticle-coated fibrous material.

The present disclosure relates to carbon fibers, ceramic matrix composites, and methods and apparatus of manufacture. A method of manufacturing a multi-layer nanoparticle coated fibrous material using a layer-by-layer nanoparticle deposition system is provided.
