The preparation method comprises the following steps: preparing a carbon/carbon-silicon carbide gradient composite material sagger from a silicon-containing carbon fiber composite preform through a chemical vapor co-deposition densification process and a chemical vapor co-deposition coating process; the silicon-containing carbon fiber composite sagger prefabricated part is prepared by spraying or impregnating a carbon fiber prefabricated part with resin of a silicon-containing precursor and/or a silicon-containing organic binder. According to the prepared carbon/carbon-silicon carbide gradient composite material sagger, gradient is formed in the radial direction from inside to outside, the surface carbon content and the reaction speed of the sagger surface and oxygen at the high temperature are reduced, the problems that an existing sagger for a lithium battery is high in strength and prone to oxidation are fundamentally solved, and the service life of the sagger is effectively prolonged.
