According to the gypsum-based flame-retardant board and the preparation method thereof, the building gypsum powder, the glass fibers, the adhesive, the flame retardant, the water reducing agent, the water repellent, the reinforcing agent and the water are subjected to the steps of stirring and mixing, pouring molding, drying and hardening, after-treatment and the like, the gypsum-based flame-retardant board is prepared, and the gypsum plaster board which is higher in nail-holding power and more excellent in fireproof performance is achieved.
