The slag blocking and water retaining dam is arranged on the upstream side of the slag yard; a silt stopping and water collecting field is defined by the upstream of the slag blocking and water retaining dam; the silt stopping and catchment field has the effect of retaining debris flow solid matter and flood at the same time, and a debris flow source silt stopping field and a catchment area are formed. And the drainage open channel is arranged on the periphery of the slag yard, and a water inlet of the drainage open channel communicates with the flood discharge opening of the slag blocking and water retaining dam and is used for discharging flood of the debris flow gully. The problem that debris flow sources are difficult to discharge and guide in time is solved, and the scale of blocking and discharging facilities can be greatly reduced. The method can be widely applied to the project of building the slag yard in the large-flood-volume debris flow gully.
