The invention relates to a water tank water storage and drainage system and a control method thereof.The water tank water storage and drainage system comprises a water tank and a waste processor installed at the bottom of the water tank, the waste processor comprises a grinding cover and a grinding disc arranged in the grinding cover, a driving motor used for driving the grinding disc to rotate is installed below the grinding cover, and a main feeding opening is formed in the water tank; the top of the grinding cover is installed on a main feeding port, a water inlet is formed in the side portion of the grinding cover, a water outlet is formed in the bottom of the water tank, the water outlet is communicated with the water inlet through a drainage channel, and a drainage mechanism used for opening and closing the drainage channel is installed on the drainage channel. According to the water tank water storage and drainage system, water storage and drainage of the water tank are achieved by controlling the water drainage mechanism, during forced drainage, the valve plate motor and the driving motor of the garbage processor are started synchronously, the valve plate is opened, the forced drainage function is achieved, and the situation of slow drainage is avoided; and the forced drainage function can be intelligently selected to be started or stopped according to the water level in the sewer, so that the intelligent degree is high.
