The invention relates to a slot wall milling machine, comprising: a box-shaped housing, on the upper side of which a lifting device can be mounted; at least one milling wheel arranged at the lower side of the housing and rotatably driven to remove soil material, in which the milling teeth are arranged along the outer periphery of the milling wheel in at least one peripheral row at which at least one axial peripheral gap adjoins; and at least one cleaning plate fixedly arranged relative to the housing and engaged into the at least one peripheral gap at the milling wheel to clean the soil material. According to the invention, it is provided that the at least one cleaning plate is mounted on the plate support at a distance from the housing, a through-hole being formed between the at least one plate support and the housing, through which through-hole soil material milled off during operation can be guided upwards.
