The street lamp installation foundation comprises an installation bottom plate, a concrete layer and an installation top plate, the installation bottom plate is used for being installed in a foundation pit, and an installation cylinder used for installing a street lamp is arranged on the installation bottom plate; the mounting top plate is arranged on the upper portion of the mounting bottom plate, the concrete layer is filled between the mounting bottom plate and the mounting top plate, the mounting top plate is provided with a mounting decoration plate, and one side of the mounting decoration plate is hinged to the top wall of the mounting top plate; a supporting piece is arranged between the installation decoration plate and the concrete layer and used for keeping the opening and closing angle of the installation decoration plate so that the plate face of the installation decoration plate can be flush with the slope face of the ground. According to the street lamp installation foundation, the top wall of the street lamp installation foundation can be flush with the slope surface of the ground as much as possible, and the neatness of the ground is improved. The invention further relates to a construction method of the street lamp installation foundation.
