The invention provides a tailing sand aggregate and application thereof. The tailing sand aggregate comprises tailing sand of 40-90 meshes, tailing sand of 90-400 meshes and tailing sand of 400-1250 meshes, wherein the mass ratio of the tailing sand to the tailing sand of 40-90 meshes to the tailing sand of 90-400 meshes to the tailing sand of 400-1250 meshes is 1: 0.6-3: 0.4-2. When the tailing sand aggregate provided by the invention is used for preparing concrete, close packing of the concrete can be realized, so that the concrete has higher fracture resistance and compressive strength.
