The invention discloses a lock pin assembly for excavating tooth connection. The lock pin assembly comprises a lock pin, a lock lug and a lock cap. The lock cap comprises a cap head located at the first end and a threaded part located at the second end. A lock hole with an axial opening is formed in the second end of the lock cap; an elastic lock catch is arranged on one side of the junction of the cap head and the thread part; the locking lug comprises a base part on the outer side and a U-shaped bulge on the inner side, the locking lug is provided with a threaded hole, the threaded hole comprises an external threaded section and an internal threaded section, the external threaded section is positioned on the base part, and the internal threaded section is positioned on the inner wall of the inner end of the U-shaped bulge; a locking clamping groove is formed in the hole wall, close to the outer side face, of the threaded hole. A guide limiting groove extending from the outer end face of the locking lug to the threaded hole is formed between two opposite convex edges at the outer end of the U-shaped bulge; in the connecting state, the end of the lock pin slides into the threaded hole along the guide limiting groove, the lock cap is screwed into the threaded hole from the outer side of the lock lug, the end of the lock pin extends into the lock hole and abuts against the bottom of the lock hole, and the elastic lock catch and the locking clamping groove are clamped in a matched mode.
