SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A VEHICLE REAR CLOSURE
The present disclosure provides a system and method for controlling a rear closure of a vehicle. A vehicle includes a rear closure, a detection unit, and a notification unit. The rear closure is movable between a closed state and an open state. The detection unit may detect a vehicle access device location proximate to the vehicle. The notification unit may output visual and/or audible notifications. The vehicle may also include a processor that may determine, based on input from the detection unit, that the vehicle access device has entered a predefined zone proximate a rear portion of the vehicle. The processor may activate the notification unit to output a notification for a first predefined duration in response to determining that the vehicle access device has entered the predefined zone. The processor may also determine a duration of time during which the vehicle access device stays in the predefined zone. The processor may cause the rear closure to open when the duration is greater than the predefined duration.

The present disclosure provides a system and method for controlling a rear closure of a vehicle. A vehicle includes a rear closure, a detection unit, and a notification unit. The rear closure is movable between a closed state and an open state. The detection unit may detect a vehicle access device location proximate to the vehicle. The notification unit may output visual and/or audible notifications. The vehicle may also include a processor that may determine, based on input from the detection unit, that the vehicle access device has entered a predefined zone proximate a rear portion of the vehicle.
